Inside or Outside Mount?

When it comes to window treatments, measuring the window correctly can be quick and simple. The key is to differentiate the width and height. The width is from the right edge of the window treatment to the left edge. The height is from the top of the window treatment to the bottom of the treatment.

Inside Mount
An inside mount is a treatment that fits inside of the frame of the window. When measurments are given for inside mounts our factory will subtract deductions to allow the blind to fit in the included brakets and end caps.

Outside Mount
An outside mount is a treatment that mounts outside of the window frame. Deductions will not be taken on these measurements. These products will be made with the exact measurements given. Measure these frames with enough width and height to clear window frames and trim.

Measuring Directions
When measuring for window treatments use a steel tape measure. Measurements should be done to the nearest 1/8 of an inch.

Inside Mount
Measure the width of the opening on the top, middle, and bottom, and write down the smallest measurement. When measuring the height, measure both corners and write down the largest measurement. Always measure to the nearest 1/8 inch.

Outside Mount
Measure the width first remembering the product will have no deductions taken off. Measure the width and height and give the exact measurements each. Remember to measure to the nearest 1/8 inch.
